Vineyard time for a bee…

While most people come to the island of Martha’s Vineyard to get away from the day to day grind to throw out a towel on the hot sand and relax by the water, but our honeybees are doing the exact opposite.

The reputation “busy as a bee” was not coined by mistake as these hardworking insects work from sunup to sundown. Outside the hive there busy collecting nectar, pollen, water, and propelus. These materials are brought back to the hive and used to keep the hive all operations in full swing. The nectar is brought back into the hives and turned into honey. The bees store this honey to eat during the summer, but when they produce excess honey they won’t use in the summertime, we come into the hives and harvest the excess. This honey is then bottled and shipped out to our loyal fan base across the country. So when your enjoying our honey at home, you’re actually enjoying a symphony of flower nectar from millions of flowers here on Martha’s Vineyard. Check our online store for honey, but be quick because it can go fast…
